More and more people aspire to attend university, leading to intensified competition for college admissions. Why is there a growing desire to pursue higher education, and is the increasing competition for university entrance a good thing or a bad thing?

First of all, we need to understand what the task is. This writing task focuses on why more people are keen to go to university and the competition that comes with it. The task response asks candidates to dig into the reasons behind this growing interest and weigh whether this intensified competition is a good or bad thing.

Students may prioritize grades over genuine learning, focusing on test scores rather than critical thinking and creativity.
